(g) Extensive Building operations have been carried on in and around Penge, which is a detached part of the ancient Parish of Battcream and locally situate in the neighbourhood of the Crystal Palace. The facilities for communication by railway hare greatly contributed to the large increase of population. The other and principal part of Battersea Parish is in the Wandsworth District. *Note.
