Note—The Establishment Expenses of the Board are, in the first instance, apportioned betw een the Parish of Lewisham and
Hamlet of Penge in the proportion of 4-5ths to the former and l-5th to the latter, thus—

And such Expenses are further apportioned rateably among the several heads of Expenditure of the Board, in respect of which
separate Rates are levied, and also in respect of the Frontages and Private Works. Thus the Expenditure for the year under the
several heads of General Purposes, Sewerage Purposes (Current Expenses), Lighting, Watering, and Frontages, &c., is as follows:—

And the amount charged for Establishment Expenses under each of the above-mentioned items bears the same proportion to the
amount of such item as the total Establishment Expenses does to the total amount expended.
