There were 12 deaths from Whooping Cough compared
with seven during 1931 the deaths occurring in the
cases of four children under one year of age, six children
of one year, one child of two years and one child of three
years.
Diphtheria.
Notification, One hundred and seventy-seven notifications
were received during 1932, a decrease of 48
compared with 1931. The attack rate was equal to 1.18
per thousand of the population and the two sexes were
affected in the proportion of 87 males to 90 females.

The following table shows that most cases occurred in children under ten years of age :

The disease was prevalent all the year round, the
cases varying from seven in July to 27 in September.

a case mortality of 5.65 per cent. and a death rate of
