From the table showing the principal causes of death
it will be seen that one out of every eight deaths in the
borough in 1932 was due to Cancer.
Infantile Mortality.
Of 1,848 deaths of persons of all ages belonging to
Fulham during 1932, 124 or 7.8 per cent, occurred in
infants under One Year of age.
The infantile mortality rate (the number of deaths
of infants under One Year of age per 1,000 live births)
was 58 as compared with 67 during 1931. The actual
number of deaths was 124 compared with 154.
The infantile mortality rate for England and Wales
was 65 and for London 66.
