Public Mortuary.
199 bodies were removed to the Mortuary during the year
and were admitted as follows:—
At the request of the Coroner 183
Brought in by the Police 15
At the request of the Medical Officer
of Health 1

Inquests were held on 198, and post-mortem examinations
were made in 107 of the above cases.
Disinfection.
Infected articles have, since March last, been disinfected at
the Council's Disinfection Station in Townmead road. The
station is most complete and the provision of a well equipped
laundry enables articles to be washed, which was not done
when the work was carried out by a contractor.
