The quantity of water used for street watering was Street
8,964,000 gallons, and the cost, including meter rent, watenng
£356 16s. l0d.
The steam roller was again let to Mr. Rutty for the Steam roller.
purpose of rolling the Thames Embankment, and the
amount paid to the Vestry for its use was £61 7s. Od.
The tramway between Cambridge road and St. Peter Hackney
street has been reconstructed, and the old iron rails and tramway.
wooden sleepers removed, and the solid steel girder rails
substituted. The whole of the tramways in the Parish,
with the exception of Grove road, may now be said to
be in good condition, and the Company have promised
to give this road their attention at the earliest
opportunity.
