CLEARANCE AND REHOUSING.
Two unfit houses included in confirmed clearance orders were
demolished during the year. The buildings demolished now total
938 and residents re-housed 4,481. Clearance areas not yet wholly
cleared of buildings are Hindrey Place, 13 houses; Elizabeth
Buildings, 24 flats, and Conduit Street (Nos. 1 and 2 areas), 4
houses.
