Pharmacy and Poisons Act, 1933.—Part II. of this Act repeals
the Arsenic Act, 1851, and the Pharmacy Acts so far as they relate
to poisons and poisonous substances. For the purpose of Part II.
of the Act a General Advisory Committee to be constituted in
accordance with the provisions of the Second Schedule of the Act
and to be termed the " Poisons Board," is to be appointed and the
Secretary of State is to require the Board to submit to him a list of
substances which are to be treated as poisons for the purposes of
the Act. The list to be prepared is to be divided into two parts as
follows :—
Part I. of the list shall consist of those poisons which,
subject to the provisions of the Act, are not to be sold, except
by a person who is an authorised seller of poisons.
