This number of deaths gives an annual mortality of 112 per
1,000 inhabitants.
In the following table the yearly deaths from tuberculous diseases in the Borough for the last 26 years are shown, grouped in periods of three years:—

There were 41 deaths where a notification had not been
received under the Regulations. The ratio of non-notified tuberculosis
deaths to total tuberculosis deaths is therefore as 1 is to
6. 25 deaths occurred in hospitals, 6 in the Hackney Infirmary,
2 in mental hospitals, 2 certified on inquest, and in 7 cases the
deaths were certified by local practitioners. In 12 cases post
mortems were performed to ascertain the cause of death.
