    VII. FOOD INSPECTION. The total amount of foodstuffs seized and condemned for human consumption and either reconditioned or disposed of for animal consumption or for industrial purposes under guarantee or destroyed was 1,711 tons 13 cwts. 3 qrs. 10 lbs. as compared with 93 7 tons in 1948 and 1,094 tons in 1947.
