Admittance of Inspector.
No difficulty has been experienced in regard to the visits of the Inspectors of
this Authority.
Legal Proceedings.
Mar. 15 " Lucy" (Unregistered).
The canal boat " Lucy," owned by Emanuel Smith, of Brentford, was inspected on the
15th March, 1922, and found to be unregistered within the meaning of the Canal Boats Act.
Occupied by one person.
The cabin was also filthy and damp ; boat in a state of bad repair ; water tank filthy. Bulkhead
in need of repair, and there were traces of rats and vermin on board.
Summonses were applied for in this case, and these were heard at the Tower Bridge Police
Court on the 7th April. The owner was convicted and fined 10s. in each case, with costs.
(6) Double Bulkheads.—There were three infringements with regard to
the condition of these.
(7) No boats have been detained for cleansing.
(8) On December 31st, 1922, there were 276 boats on the Register—

(9) One boat was registered in 1922. A new boat.
