CHEMICAL ANALYSES OF MILK
Twenty-six samples of milk were submitted to the Public Analyst.
All were reported genuine.
The average composition was as follows:

procured and submitted for bacteriological examination. The results are set out in the following table:—

The unsatisfactory samples were manufactured by two firms in
premises outside the Borough. The authorities concerned were notified.
Following investigations by these Authorities repeat samples proved
satisfactory.
CHEMICAL ANALYSES OF ICE CREAM
Four samples of ice cream were submitted for analysis. All complied
with the standard. The average fat content of the samples varied between
6.0% and 10.4%. The average fat content was 9.4%.
