It will be seen from the foregoing table that 13 deaths were registered
as due to Tuberculosis. The figures correspond to a death rate per
1,000 of population of 0.39.
Tuberculosis rates have unfortunately shown a marked advance
throughout England and Wales, and in this district the rate is twice that
for the previous year.
The following table, compiled from local records, shows the number
of new cases of Tuberculosis notified during the year, together with the
deaths at various age periods:—
