Reports upon 39 accidents were received during the year.
In most cases, accidents were of a minor character, and only involved
the injured party, and were due in the main to carelessness. The
percentage of accidents in food premises was lower than in previous
years. All reported accidents, however small they appeared to be, were
investigated.
No legal proceedings were instituted during the year, although
in some instances it was necessary to send warning letters to offenders.
