Four thousand seven hundred and thirty-four defects were found
in children at routine medical inspections of which 1,887 were referred
for treatment and 2,847 for observation, 1,756 defects were
found at special inspections, 1,305 being referred for treatment and
451 for observation. The total number of defects referred for treatment
and observation in 1966 was 6,490.
