Grants were made to seventeen cases to enable patients, or
their dependents, to secure clothing.
The Committee has also assisted patients and their families
in the following ways: —
By payment of arrears of health insurance, and rental of
flat.
Maintenance of gas fire in bedroom and radio set.
Part cost of spectacles.
Holiday expenses to dependents.
Provision of sun-lounge camp beds, thermos flasks, bedtables,
sorbo air rings, back rests, ovaltine, etc.
Camp holidays for child contacts.
Materials for occupational therapy.
Christmas gifts for children.
Laundry bills paid while patients were on rest treatment.
Provision of portable radio set for loan to patients.
MASS RADIOGRAPHY.
The Mass Radiography Unit made a second visit to Morden
and was set up at the Baptist Hall from the 26th September
to the 21st October. The response by factory managements to
the invitation to allow their employees the necessary time to
be dealt with in groups was most generous. Sessions were also
reserved for school children over 14, and special sessions set
aside for patients referred by General Practitioners in the area.
There were also sessions for the general public to take advantage
of the facilities on their own initiative.

The appended table or statement shows the value and extent of the work done.
