Merton and Morden 1949

Puerperal Pyrexia. There were five notifications of Puerperal
Pyrexia, giving a rate of 5.0 per thousand births. All
these cases occurred in hospital, one being subsequently admitted
to the Wandle Valley Isolation Hospital for treatment. In all
cases the patients recovered.
CLEANSING STATION.
There was a further decrease in the number of attendances
at the Cleansing Station during the year, the total being 128 as
compared with 229 in 1948 and 445 in the year before. The
details of the attendances during the year are as follows :—

Cases of Scabies with concurrent verminous head —
Cases of Scabies with Secondary Septic Skin conditions
Number of cases of verminous heads only 45
Total number of attendances at the Centre 128
