INSTITUTIONAL AND DOMICILIARY BIRTHS.
The notifications show that 855 births took place in
institutions, hospitals and private nursing homes. This is 197
less than 1947 and represents 77.1 per cent, of the total, as
compared with 76.5 per cent for the previous year. These births
occurred in the following hospitals and institutions:—
