When the work of the clinics provided by the Council
and the hospital is considered together it will be observed
that the percentage of babies born to residents of the district
which come under clinic supervision rises to approximately
80, and the number of expectant mothers who receive assistance
in the same way represents approximately 63% of the
births.

In addition 345 other visits were made for special purposes in connection with puerperal pyrexia, ophthalmia neonatorum, diphtheria swabbing, etc., whilst a further 338 visits were made to foster children under Infant Life Protection.
