Whooping Cough Vaccination
Arrangements for vaccination against whooping cough, like other
immunising schemes, is the responsibility of the County Council. The
practice has continued to grow until now a good two thirds of the children
under 5 years of age have been protected.
The number of children vaccinated during the year was 496.
The number of cases and the percentage of pre-school children vaccinated at the beginning of each year since 1950 was as follows:—
