Tuberculosis.
The new cases admitted to the tuberculosis register during the
year numbered 145, classified as follows:—

Pulmonary 70 Pulmonary 56
Non-pulmonary 10 Non-pulmonary 9
Of the total additions, 101 were primary notifications, 38 were
transferred from other districts, and six came to notice in other ways.
For the same period, 97 names were removed from the register for
the following reasons:—
Recovered 14
Death 21
Otherwise (including removals) 62
After allowing for the additions and deductions, the state of the
register at the 31st December, 1950, was as shown in the following
table:—
