Disposal of the Dead.
Reference was made in my report for the year 1947, to the provision
by the Carshalton and Merton and Morden Joint Cemetery
Board of the Cemetery at Morden. The number of interments in the
Cemetery in the year under review was 237 and of this number, 68
were from the Carshalton district. The Church-yard adjoining the
Carshalton Parish Church continues to be used for new burials, but the
space available is rapidly diminishing.
