Four deaths of unnotified cases represent 13% of the total deaths
from this disease.
The Council provides a free service for the examination of sputum
for tubercle bacilli. In the past year 14 such examinations were made
with a positive result in one.
No action was taken under the Public Health (Prevention of Tuberculosis
)Regulations, 1925, or under Section 172 of the Public Health
Act, 1936.
