(7) Maternity and Child Welfare.
Maternity and Child Welfare work in the District is administered
by the Surrey County Council.
During the five years, no case of Puerperal Fever was notified,
and there was no death from that disease. There were two deaths
from Whooping Cough, in 1923 and 1925, and three from Diarrhcea,
viz., one in 1923 and two in 1924, all among infants under one year
of age, but there was no death from Measles among young children,
and no case of Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
