The number of birthday greetings sent in 1950 was 643.
Typhoid Fever
One case was notified during the year, the source of infection
unknown, the case not being diagnosed for several weeks.
Diarrhcea and Enteritis Under Two Years of Age
One death was registered during the year.
Encephalitis Lethargica
No case was notified during the year.
Erysipelas
Seven cases were notified. No cases were removed to
hospital.
Puerperal Pyrexia
No case was notified during the year.
Pneumonia
Twenty-eight cases of primary pneumonia were notified
during the year. The number of deaths from all forms of
pneumonia, some of which are not notifiable, was 29, of which 15
were males and 14 females.
