Medical Inspection.—The medical inspection of school
children is carried out hy the School Health Service of the Surrey
County Council.
Closure of Schools.—No school has been closed by the local
authority during the year.
Infectious Diseases.—Scholars in contact with a case of
infectious disease are excluded from school, the period of the
exclusion being that set out in memorandum of the County
School Medical Officer to the Surrey Education Committee. The
head teacher of the school concerned is always notified of this
exclusion and the reason for same.

Three full-time and one part-time Rodent Operators were employed.

Two sewer maintenance treatments were carried out; 144
manholes were baited. 156 intercepting chambers were also
baited on the route of one maintenance treatment. A ten per
cent, test of the sewer manholes in the district was carried out.
