Adoption of Children Act, 1939.
This Act came into force on June 1st, 1943. Numbers of
children are placed in homes in the Borough by the registered
adoption societies. These adoption societies have been requested
to notify the Superintendent Health Visitor, who is the Infant
Life Protection Visitor, of any cases placed for adoption in the
Borough.
