INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD

FOOD AND DRUGS (ADULTERATION) ACT, 1938

The duties under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, 1928, are carried out by the Surrey County Council.

SLAUGHTER HOUSES
There are five slaughter houses, of which two are registered
and three are licensed.
During the year 381 visits of inspection were made. Three
requests were made for periodical lime-washing of slaughter
houses as prescribed by the Council's byelaws. For details of

BAKEHOUSES
The number of bakehouses in the district is 15.
Sixty-five visits have been paid, and four verbal notices
served to limewash bakehouses, all of which were complied with.
