Ante-natal Centres.
One Ante-natal Clinic is held each month at the Cavendish
Road, Meopbam Road and Town Hall Centres, and one clinic each
week in connection with Woodlands Maternity Home.
The total number of expectant mothers attending the centres
wa3 468, the total number of attendances being 2,406. Of the total
number of notified births, 47 per cent, of the mothers attended the
ante-natal centres, that is, almost one half.
Some idea of how this important branch of the work has
grown may be obtained by a comparison of the figures for the past
four years which are shown in the following table:—
