DAIRIES AND COWSHEDS.
There are 37 registered premises within the district, of which
36 are dairies and one cowshed.
During the year 129 visits of inspection were paid, and in no
instance were defects discovered.
Acting on information received, the Chief Sanitary Inspector
took an informal sample of milk from a certain retailer. The
analysis revealed that whilst the milk was of poor quality it was up
to the legal minimum standard.
