Child Welfare Centres
The percentage of children under one year of age who attended
for the first time during the year continued the improvement noted
in 1956 During the past five years this figure has risen from
89.1% to 97.2% Towards the end of the year it was found necessary
to hold an additional weighing session each week at the Somerset
Road Centre owing to increased attendances

Toddlers clinics
These clinics continued to be held at all maternity and
child welfare centres and have been fully reported on in previous
years
The following table gives details of attendances at the
individual clinics:-
