Housing Act, 1936, Section 11
Hie making of demolition orders on individual houses has again had to be
considered and in eight cases it was necessary to make orders under Section 11
of the Housing Act, 1936-
There has been an interesting and useful amendment to the law on this
subject during the year and it is now possible for the Council to make a Closing
Order with respect to a whole house where hitherto they were obliged to
order its demolition. These new powers, contained in the Local Government
(Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1953, are particularly useful in dealing with
the house which forms part of a terrace
Premises the subject of Demolition Orders not demolished as at 31st December, 1953
