Legal Proceedings
Legal proceedings were taken in 3 cases in respect of contaminated
foods, namely:-
(1) Paper in Bread.
Defendants pleaded guilty and were fined £2.0.0. with £1.1.0.
costs.
(2) Ants in Sponge Cake.
Defendants pleaded guilty and were discharged absolutely
on the payment of £3.3.0. costs.
(3) Cockroach in Bread.
Defendants pleaded guilty and, in view of the fact that it
was a first offence, the justices granted an absolute discharge
on the payment of £2.2.0. costs.
