INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
Tuberculosis.
The total number of new cases of tuberculosis notified during
the year was 205, a rise of 16 on the previous year. 184 of these
notifications were in respect of pulmonary tuberculosis.
The number of deaths from tuberculosis was 66 (57 pulmonary
tuberculosis) the lowest recorded figure for this disease.
A detailed analysis of the notifications and deaths is shewn in
the following summarv.
