Scabies.
The compulsory notification of Scabies enabled the Council to
exercise close control over this disease.
It is interesting to note that, as in 1943, the larger number of
cases occurred in adult females.
Medical Practitioners in the Borough co-operated with the
Council in securing treatment for this disease, with the result that
there was no difficulty in arranging for those affected to accept the
facilities offered at the Council's Cleansing Station.
