The oxygen resuscitator was used on 7 occasions.
Nursing in the Home.
The Council employ a whole-time nurse and the part-time services
of a second to treat at home Scarlet Fever cases that it is considered
expedient not to send to hospital. A subsidy is paid to the Tottenham
District Nursing Association for the services of their nurses in tending
the sick in their own homes whilst suffering from certain types of illness.
Clinics and Treatment Centres.
The Clinics and Treatment Centres are staffed by the School Medical
Department and the Maternity and Child Welfare Department.
During the year a Municipal Medical Centre was built to replace that
formerly at Bruce Castle. The Gynaecological Clinic established by the
Council in ] 936 is held at the new Centre.
