MATERNAL MORTALITY.
A Special Report is forwarded to the Ministry of each death of a
mother, directly or indirectly connected with child-birth. This report
is based on the result of the enquiries made of every nurse, midwife, or
doctor in attendance upon the mother.
Maternal Deaths.—The Registrar-General's records show that 9
deaths were attributed to Tottenham.
The Death Rate per 1,000 live and still births was :—
From Puerperal Sepsis 1.47
From other Puerperal Causes 2.95
Total 4.42
