7 mothers with infants were sent away for two to three weeks' convalescent
home treatment, and 2 mothers, whose expenses were met
from the Special Jubilee Celebration Fund.
Surgical Instruments.β€”One child was assisted towards the cost
of surgical boots. One child was assisted with spectacles.
HOSPITAL TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN UNDER
5 YEARS OF AGE.
The arrangement with the Prince of Wales's Hospital, Tottenham,
for children referred from the Welfare Centres for consultation and
treatment was continued during the year.
Arrangements still exist with the Prince of Wales's General Hospital
for institutional treatment, and for the provision in the out-patients'
department for the treatment of crippling conditions.
One child continued at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
and I at Brookfields Orthopaedic Hospital during the year.
