Surgical Instruments.—Two children were assisted towards the cost
of surgical boots. One child was assisted with spectacles.
HOSPITAL TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN UNDER
5 YEARS OF AGE.
The arrangement with the Prince of Wales's Hospital, Tottenham,
and the North Middlesex Hospital, Edmonton, for children referred
from the Welfare Centres for consultation and treatment was continued
during the year.
Arrangements still exist with the Prince of Wales's General Hospital
for institutional treatment, and for the provision in the out-patients'
department for the treatment of crippling conditions.
One child continued at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
and 1 at Brookfields Orthopaedic Hospital during the year.
One child received treatment at a special Eye Hospital.

HEALTH VISITORS.
There has been no alteration in the number of Health Visitors engaged
by the Committee since 1921, although their duties now include the
supervision of Foster Children.
