brought to the notice of the offender, and written warnings are
sent where necessary. The number of inspections of all foods
exposed for sale was increased during the summer Saturday
evenings, with beneficial results.
Food Premises and Factories.
Butchers', fish, fruit and vegetable shops, and sausage, meat
pie, brawn and other preserved food makers' premises and factories
received 3,180 visits of inspection. Certain of these premises
are not yet satisfactory, and pressure is being brought to bear
on the occupiers.
