{21 Test Baiting (1958-1959)
The Borough was divided into five section,s as in previous
tests and a test baiting of i0% of the soil-sewer manholes in
areas previously cleared or thought not to be Infested was carried
out during the month of August

All the manholes baited were checked three days after the baits had been deposited with the following results:-

(3) Treatment No 25 - First Maintenance Treatment {1958-1959)
This treatment was confined to the sections known to have
been nfested during the previous maintenance treatment together
with sections proved to be nfested by the annual 10% Test, and
operations were completed on the 18th October, 1958
Prebaltlng with damped sausage rusks with 0.25% of paranltrophenol
added as a bait preservative was carried out on the
first and fifth days,, and the same bait base with 2% Antu added
was laid on the tenth day

The number of prebalt takes shows a decrease of 5, 8% on the
previous maintenance treatment
