302 visits were made in connection with. Section 10 of the
Shops Act, 1934.
From action taken it is gratifying to report that an increasing
number of food premises have and are being fitted with
instantaneous water heaters. These provide a constant supply
of hot water, thus enabling employees to wash their hands, as
and when required before serving the public with food-stuffs.
The Inspectorial Staff of the Public Health Department is constantly
vigilant of the necessity to observe and if necessary
enforce the taking of all hygienic precautions in the various
processes of food manufacture, storage and distribution. The
general co-operation of all connected with food supplies is much
appreciated.
