There were 4 deaths from tuberculosis in 1957, as compared with 6 in 1956, 7 in 1955 and 4 in 1954

Pour of these died as a result of accidents within the Borough. In all,
10 persons, including residents of other, places, died as a result of road accidents
occurring in Brentford and Chiswick, 3 motor-cyclists, 5 motor car passengers,
1 pedal cyclist, 1 pedestrian,, One child died on the roads of the
Borough during 1957,
