Overcrowding
46 cases of alleged overcrowding were investigated by the Department during
the year.
Of these 46 cases 18 were found to be Statutorily overcrowded and were
accordingly notified to the Housing Department for consideration by the Housing
Committee.

An arrangement is in force whereby the South West Middlesex Hospital Management
Committee undertakes to carry out emergency disinfection of vermin-infested
or small pox-infected clothing and bedding on demand.
