BRENTFORD MARKET
During the year the Sanitary Inspectors paid numerous visits
to Brentford Market which is a large centre for the wholesale
distribution of fruit, vegetables and flowers. There are also firms
in the market which deal in wholesale groceries, tinned foods etc.,
and these were visited in connection with condemnation of unsound
food.
STREET TRADING
The sites which are allocated for street trading were visited
on numerous occasions to ensure that they were being maintained in
accordance with the Bye-laws and particularly with regard to the
handling of food. In addition, the premises of street hawkers who
deal with food stuffs were inspected.
