GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE BOROUGH.
The health"services of the Borough have been maintained with
one exception during the past year
The Immunisation Clinic was closed for practically the whole
year, due to the fact that the Specialist was engaged on other"
work. Otherwise the Clinics and treatment centres, as set out in
my report for 1939 functioned in practically the normal way.
Civil Ambulances."
Three motor ambulances i for civil work were maintained and
located, two at Chiswick and one at Brentford Fire Stations.
The work carried out was as under
Number of public calls dealt with during 1940 = 747
Number of private calls dealt with during 1940 = 456 ;
Maternity & Child Welfare (Table attached).

No maternal deaths were: reported during the year#
