The work of the general nurse in the Borough has continued to increase during the year, more and more visits being paid to patients being discharged from hospital and requiring injections and dressings. During the year the following visits were paid by the Home Nurses: —

Vaccination and Immunisation.
The scheme for vaccination and diphtheria immunisation has been
carried out largely by means of the medical practitioner service.
The number of children who completed a full course of primary immunisation against diphtheria during the year is set out below: —

The number of children who received a secondary or re-inforcing
infection was 403.
