3. Tuberculosis.— Particulars of new cases of tuberculosis and mortality from the disease during 1937:—

Eleven deaths occurred from non-notified cases of tuberculosis and the
ratio of non-notified to total notified deaths from tuberculosis is therefore as
eleven to thirty-one.
47 new cases were notified during the year.
13 cases were transferred into the district.
64 cases were removed from the Register.
197 cases remained on the Register at the close of the year.

County Tuberculosis Scheme.— Dr. W. A. Bullough, Chief Tuberculosis Officer of the Essex County Council, has kindly furnished me with the following particulars of Wanstead and Woodford patients sent to institutions for treatment during 1937:-
