Unsound carcases and meat surrendered and destroyed following
inspection totalled eight hundred and twenty pounds in weight.
Other Food Premises.— Six hundred and forty-four visits were made
to other premises in which food is prepared, stored or exposed for sale.
Cleanliness and repair on these premises was well maintained and necessary
requirements received due attention.
Bakehouses.— There are fourteen bakehouses in the district; two of
these are underground bakehouses. Fifty-six inspections were made
and the provisions of the Bakehouse Regulations were observed satisfactorily.
