The increase for 1956 was caused by a flood at a shop in
The Broadway, Loughton.
(d) Food Complaints
31 complaints of food being unfit for human consumption were
received during the year as against 24 last year. This is the
highest recorded, the next highest being in 1952 when 27 complaints
were received.
